As great an idea as this is, it would NOT go over well in my house. Around here, the only reason to eat cake is frosting and marshmallows are only useful as part of a s’more. It’s a houseful of dessert fundamentalists!

I can’t; along with myself, get anyone in my family to eat icing. Therefore, this sounds perfect!

How long will the marshmallows stay fresh on top? Will they go stale?

This is my question too how long are they good? do I have to serve them with in an hour of topping them or are they good for days?

    very cool.

Gave this a try and man, did it not work at all. The marshmallows slid right off the cupcakes and made a huge sticky mess on my pan and oven floor. The second batch (was making 24 cupcakes) I put them on only 3 minutes before they needed pulled out and it worked better but made the cupcakes nearly impossible to get out of the paper lining and they didn’t toast at all. Won’t be trying this again, sadly.

I just tried this and for me it was also a Fail. The marshmallows got bigger and are toasted but didn’t melt at all. So now my cupcakes look like they have a white top hat on em. Not cool. Gotta figure out how to save the looks of my cupcakes so they don’t look super ridiculous at the party I am invited to. Probably not trying again!
