Ingredients
- prepared mashed potatoes- 16 oz. (2 cups)
- ground beef- 1 lb
- onion, white- 1 peeled and minced
- 1 7oz. can diced carrots
- flour- 2 tbspns
- nutmeg- 1 tspn
- dried parsley and oregano- 1 tspn each
- 1 15oz. can beef broth
- tomato paste- 2 tbspns
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Make meat filling by browning beef and minced onion together in a skillet
- Add carrots, flour, nutmeg and herbs and saute for just a minute
- Add broth and tomato paste to mix well
- Transfer meat mixture into casserole baking dish
- Spoon potatoes and spread loosely over the top
- Bake until bubbly inside, 20-25 minutes
