Homemade Mac & Cheese
Ingredients
- elbow macaroni- 1 lb
- shredded cheddar cheese- 16 oz. or 2 cups
- cream of cheddar soup- 1 can
- STAPLES
- butter- 2 tbspns
- flour- 1 tbspn
- milk- ½ cup
Instructions
- Boil pasta in salted water in large pasta pot until tender
- Drain pasta in strainer and leave in the strainer
- Return pan to the stove to melt butter over medium-high heat
- Add flour and mix into the butter
- Add milk and mix well making a roux
- Add cheese and soup stirring until cheese is melted, approximately one minute
- Mix cooked macaroni into cheese mixture
