Love it! Will have to make a batch of guacamole :)
This is one of my favorite things to make for celebrations and parties. I wait and prepare it in front of our guests because it’s fun to watch and adds a bit of entertainment. and it’s completely fresh!
The amount of ingredients is dependent upon how many you are preparing for and how much of any one flavor element you like. You can eliminate certain ingredients, like garlic for instance, if you don’t particularly like that.
List of ingredients:
-medium soft avocados
-tomatoes (I use Roma, firm)
-red onion (can use white if you prefer, but I like the color contrast with the purple color)
-cilantro
-limes
-garlic
-sea salt
-black pepper
Directions: (place all of the following in a large mixing bowl and smash/mix with fork to desired texture. I like it a little chuncky as opposed to creamy)
-core and peel 4 avocados, then cut into big pieces
-dice 2 small tomatoes, fine
-dice 1/2 red onion, fine
-chop 2 large garlic cloves, fine
-chop cilantro, fine (result in 1/4 cup)
-roll 4 whole small limes with palm then cut in half and squeeze juice into mixture (be sure to catch seeds, not allow into mixture)
-1 teaspoon of sea salt
-1 teaspoon of black pepper
Decorate with a sprig of cilantro on top and serve with sturdy tortilla chips. I like to mix blue and regular tortilla to be fun! Also is great with lentil chips for those seeking gluten-free options.
This sounds wonderful. Great idea to prepare in front of guests :)
Here is my recipe. It’s extremely simple and delicious. I hope I win!
Chunky Guacamole (roughly 4 servings)
Ingredients:
2 avocados
1/3 diced onion
1/3 diced red pepper
1/4 cup diced cilantro
Juice of one lemon (optional)
Salt and pepper (optional)
Place the onion and red pepper in a medium-sized bowl.
Cube the avocados and mash them with a fork in the onion-pepper bowl.
Sprinkle the salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Enjoy!
Avocado Burgers I was experimenting one time after seeing a show on tv with something. I didn’t have all the ingredients but it looked so good so I threw my own thing together and it was actually pretty good.
You’ll need hamburger patties doesn’t matter what kind.
It tastes better if you make your own guacamole with fresh avacados. Thicker or chunkier is better. I like to add just a little bit of fresh minced garlic into mine. It give it a little kick.
Some lettuce (I think adds to the fresh flavor)
Cook you burger how you want. Once it’s done. Place it on your bun Lay a lettuce leaf down. Then spoon a few spoonfuls of the homemade guacamole on top. You can add condiments if you want but this tastes so good.
I like avocados A LOT so guac is one of my favorite things to eat. However my kids take one look at the green stuff and think I’m crazy. So I like to keep it simple yet so tasty.
2 avocados (Peeled and cubed)
1 lemon, juiced
1 clove garlic, minced
Sprinkle of salt and pepper for taste
Cut the avocados into halves. Remove the seeds, and scoop out the pulp into a small bowl. Use a fork to mash the avocado. Stir in lemon juice, garlic and salt/pepper. Cover the bowl, and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
You really don’t have to wait an hour but it tastes good kinda cold :)
Super duper easy you can make it in a jif and the kids love it.
Guaca-Guacamole
We had a pomegranate tree in our yard and this became our favorite recipe.
2 avocadoes
½ diced tomato
1/2 diced red onion
1 jalapeno, seeded and diced
1 tablespoon diced cilantro
1 fresh lime
Salt and fresh-cracked pepper to taste
¼ cup fresh pomegranate seeds or dried cranberries
Dice avocado into small chunks and place in a serving bowl. Add tomatoes, onion, jalapeno and cilantro. Squeeze fresh lime juice over mixture. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Stir together. Add pomegranate seeds or dried cranberries. Mix gently and serve immediately.
If pomegranates are not available, dried cranberries work well instead.
Enjoy!

I love making guacamole, I usually make it at the same time as pico de gallo as the ingredients are almost all the same!
1 tomato
1/2 onion
1 Serrano pepper
1 clove garlic
4 ripe avocados
1 lime
Kosher salt
Cut tomato in quarters and remove seeds. Drain most of the remaining liquid from the tomatoes and dice the flesh. Chop onion finely and crush the garlic. Remove seeds and ribs from Serrano pepper and chop finely (use gloves and don’t touch your face!). Combine tomato, onion, garlic and pepper, and season with salt. Juice half of lime on tomato mixture and mix. Halve the avocados and remove pits. Using a sharp paring knife cut avocados into a dice while still in the skin. Scoop flesh out into tomato mixture. Using a spoon fold the avocado into the tomato, if the avocado is ripe, you will end up with nice sized chunks of avocado in the guacamole. If you prefer smooth, use a potato masher to mash the avocado. Squeeze the juice of the remaining half lime on top of the guacamole and mix lightly.
Make sure you make this recipe for a large group of people. If you don’t, you will eat it all on your own. I’m speaking from experience here!
