Win A Wholly Guacamole Prize Pack
I love entertaining over the holidays. But let’s face it, we don’t have a lot of time for cooking; which is why I like serving food that requires little preparation on my part like Wholly Guacamole.
We’re so lucky to have Wholly Guacamole sponsor our Manic Monday Giveaway from The Organized Cook this week to make someone’s holiday entertaining this year merry and bright- not to mention easy and delicious!
This awesome prize from Wholly Guacamole contains Wholly Guacamole Dip in all flavors, Wholly Guacamole Queso dip and Wholly Guacamole Salsa. There are enough delicious products in this refrigerated pack to throw an entire party! Follow instructions below to enter our giveaway.
Easy Holiday Appetizers
There are so many easy holiday recipes that can made in just minutes without sauteing, marinating or baking. I made some appetizers this weekend using Wholly Guacamole, a fresh avocado guacamole dip that comes already prepared, and they came out delicious.
Merry Christmas Chips & Guacamole
Adding diced red and green bell peppers to my Wholly Guacamole gave my dip a “festive” look.
The Grinch Eggs
By adding Wholly Guacamole to the center of hard-boiled eggs, I simply used red bell peppers for the eyes and a slice of cooked yolk for the “devilish” smile.
What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store.
What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.” – Dr. Suess from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas
Tailgating Recipes
I’m not a “sports” person myself, but I know many people are entertaining for football season, or “homegating”- which is tailgate entertaining at
home. The folks at Wholly Guacamole have put together a host of party planning, recipes and decorating tips for anyone homegating this year at homegatinghq.com.
And, if you win the Wholly Guacamole Prize Pack from our contest here, you’ll be all set for your next “homegating” party!

Love! Love! Love! Wholly Guacamole!
I like to make cocktail meatballs from scratch. They’re a lot quicker and easier than one would think, especially if you “cheat” in making the sauce.
I mix together 1 lb. lean ground beef, 1 egg, a slice of white bread torn into tiny bits (you could also use rolls, buns, or breadcrumbs), dried minced onion, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Then, I form the mixture into small meatballs, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees (or until done). For the sauce, you can mix equal parts BBQ sauce and grape jelly and heat in a saucepan over low heat. I prefer to make my own sauce from scratch, but this works in a pinch (it’s also good for those little cocktail smokies).

An easy recipe is avocado straight w/ lime juice! Yum! :) #WhollyGuac
We love wholly guacamole! We just have a hard time keeping it in the house since it gets eaten up so fast!
Oops, just saw that I needed to add a recipe! We love taco salad topped with guacamole. Just shred some lettuce or use a pre-made lettuce mix, add a can of pinto or black beans, some salsa, shredded cheese, and chips for an easy meatless taco salad.
Deviled eggs are always my go to appetizer. If you can get eggs on sale this makes a very budget friendly appetizer!
Yes I do homegate, didn’t know that is what it was called! LOL. Its too expensive to go to games, so staying home and entertaining friends, can be much cheaper.
I love Wholly Guacamole! Especially when I make super spicy guacamole dip with 1 jalapeno pepper, 2 red chiles, with 4 tablespoons of olive oil, and 1 lime (juice). Salt, pepper, and cayenne :)

use crackers…etc…

Easy recipe I got from Marzetti dressings:
Stuffed Mushrooms
Everyone loves stuffed mushroom appetizers. So this meal, which fills portabella mushrooms with a mix of spinach, sausage, scallions and Simply Dressed® Ranch Salad Dressing, will be a hit.
Prep Time: 30 minutes Cook Time: 25 minutes Serves 6
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Simply Dressed® Marzetti Ranch Salad Dressing
6 large Portabella mushrooms
2 tbsp Olive oil
5 oz Fresh spinach
1/3 cup Plain breadcrumbs
1/2 cup Cooked and crumbled mild pork or turkey sausage
3 tbsp Chopped scallions
1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese
1/3 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Remove and chop mushroom stems and set aside. Clean gills from each mushroom and discard. Brush inside and outside of each mushroom with olive oil and season each with salt and pepper. Place mushrooms, stem side down, on a sheet pan and bake for 6 to 8 minutes.
Place spinach and 1 tablespoon water in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Strain spinach and place in a clean cotton towel. Carefully squeeze out remaining moisture. Chop fine.
In a bowl, combine spinach, chopped mushroom pieces, breadcrumbs, sausage, scallions, Monterey Jack cheese, ¼ tsp. black pepper and Simply Dressed® Ranch Salad Dressing and mix well.
Invert mushroom caps, divide filling into 6 portions and fill each mushroom. Sprinkle each cap with Parmesan cheese and bake 10 to 12 minutes.
Serve warm.

Easy, easy — get some of the circle pretzels. Line a cookie sheet w/ parchment paper. Take an unwrapped Hershey Kiss and place it in the pretzel. Cook in a oven set at 200 for 2 minutes only (if you use some other hershey kisses, like the peppermint, you may not even need this much). Take an M&M, and push down on the semi-melted kiss so that the whole pretzel is filled. Put “cookies” in freezer or fridge for just a few minutes to harden up. Cookies are best fairly fresh.
Homegate? Not too much, but occasionally for BIG games. :-)
